The Bosch team in Breda is leading the software development for the wiring diagram auto rendering solution called ActiveSchematics. Target customers are the global car/truck/machine manufacturers (OEM). With ActiveSchematics, the technician in the workshop can render at runtime a wiring diagram based on the exact vehicle configuration and the area of interest. This will enhance diagnoses, reduce time and mistakes and for the OEM it will reduce cost. ActiveSchematics is integrated in the OEM’s diagnose and technical information system.

As a Software Engineer, you are part of a team that is responsible for the designing, developing and maintaining (web) applications based on Java/.NET in the automotive field. You develop based on functional specifications using the agile software development method, considering existing systems, design techniques and (architecture) guidelines.
You are part of a project team and you are constantly in contact with your other team members to realize the progress and profitability of our software products. Together with the team, you make sure the product delivering can be done according to the planning.
The team is based in Breda and has daily working contacts with other groups around the world.
You develop software solutions for product requirements, complying with the quality and integrity requirements. You design software in accordance with the defined architecture and contribute to implementation and testing of the software. You provide effort estimates, plan, monitor and report the progress of your work in the daily standup. You advise on improvements on products and processes, and actively contribute to their realization.
During the process you timely identify problems of a technical or organizational nature. You communicate on essential points contributing to the proper function of the OEM Diagnostics and Information Solutions software.

You’re our perfect candidate if:
- You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience as a Java and/or .NET Developer;
- You have a bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer science, Informatics or any other relevant field;
- You are familiar with SCRUM, test automation, and security techniques.
- You are familiar with Continuous Integration, Branching Strategies, Delivery & Deployment, and Behavior Driven Development.
- You have knowledge of various software packages and scripting, such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
- You have knowledge of client/server architecture as well as environments and techniques, such as Tomcat, J2EE, IIS, web services, and (REST) API's.
- You have knowledge of web development (Angular, HTML5, SVG), and object-oriented design using UML, SOLID principles, Boolean Algebra, 2D graphical object manipulations, PEG Parsers.
- Accuracy, customer and solution orientation belong to your qualities. In addition, you are analytical, reliable and communicative.
