Cabin Procurement - Buyer Compartments (m/f/d)
You’re looking for an opportunity to gain and/or to enrich first business experience whilst maintaining free time to continue your studies and/or follow other interests?
This buyer position in the Compartments & Cargo Procurement team with a contractual weekly working time between 24 and 28h is designed to give you just that freedom. Moreover, thanks to our flex time concept, you will be free to decide your working hours and location to best suit your needs (certain limitations apply).
The team is managing an international supply chain with suppliers located around the globe. The team is divided in 2 sub-commodities: 1st the Compartments Commodity which is accountable for various products inside the passenger area of the aircraft, such as the crew rest areas, the cockpit security, stowages as well as class dividers; and 2nd the Cargo Commodity which is accountable for everything which is required to not only transport luggage but also freight; it includes the cargo loading systems, the cargo linings, the cargo nets as well as the smoke detection systems.

Your location

Your tasks and responsibilities
Negotiating customization changes of customers within existing supplier contracts
Tendering and selecting suppliers for cabin customization
Supporting the buyers in the strategic supplier and contract management as well as in the projects
Desired skills and qualifications
You hold an academic degree (Bachelor/Master) - preferred with a business portion
You master the English language on a negotiation level
You feel comfortable communicating with people around the globe and of all management level
You are engaged and creative to deliver on time and on quality
Exceptional communicator: great relationship builder/manager, able to work cross-functionally and able to communicate intangible results in a clear and compelling way
